Scary/Creepy Books For Your Freezer

I couldn't help myself. I had to start this post off with a little FRIENDS. The whole episode is better but I couldn't post that. :) It's that time of year again... the time to read all the scary dark twisty and creepy books you can in honor of Halloween and the fall season where the days get shorter and the nights get longer. Therefore I have compiled a list of a variety of young adult and adult books for the spooky season. There are only a couple of books on these lists that I have yet to read but I've heard great creepy things about them. Click on the book covers to find out more about each book!

I've read a couple of the books on that list but I didn't know that The Face on the Milk Carton was a horror!
You know what I really want to read for halloween? Edgar Allen Poe. :P But I did buy Neil Gaiman's Natural Creatures for halloween so we'll see how that turns out. Great post! :D

    1. I was already a teenager when they first came out and they kind of freaked me out a little, too. I still have most of my original collection, although one disappeared when it took it to work to read it to the kids there. (I just hope it got read again.)

  8. So I should start by saying that I am a HUGE baby. I am afraid of almost everything (including the dark) so I don't read too many spooky novels especially during an already spooky time of the year. But I can usually handle some degree of scary/dark/creepy. I will be starting Coldest Girl in Coldtown as my next audiobook! I've been wanting to read Bad Girls Don't Die. I love that cover for some reason. But I literally have so many books I want to read and I've been reading at a snails pace so I don't know if I am going to get to squeeze it in soon. We shall see. Great post Kay!
