A Straight to the Point Review: Rebel of the Sands by Alwyn Hamilton

Rebel of the Sands (#1) by Alwyn Hamilton (March 2016)
314 pages
Genre: Young Adult Fantasy
Publisher: Viking Books for Young Readers
Source: I borrowed a copy from the library, but now I plan to buy it for myself.
Purchase: Barnes & Noble | Amazon | The Book Depository
My Rating:
Goodreads Summary: Mortals rule the desert nation of Miraji, but mythical beasts still roam the wild and remote areas, and rumor has it that somewhere, djinn still perform their magic. For humans, it’s an unforgiving place, especially if you’re poor, orphaned, or female.

Amani Al’Hiza is all three. She’s a gifted gunslinger with perfect aim, but she can’t shoot her way out of Dustwalk, the back-country town where she’s destined to wind up wed or dead.

Then she meets Jin, a rakish foreigner, in a shooting contest, and sees him as the perfect escape route. But though she’s spent years dreaming of leaving Dustwalk, she never imagined she’d gallop away on mythical horse—or that it would take a foreign fugitive to show her the heart of the desert she thought she knew.

My Review

Rebel of the Sands is a MUST READ for every single person ever. Here is why...

This book is so full of action that I guarantee you will not be bored for a single second.

As for the characters, you won't be able to help but love them.

So what about the romance? It's so freaking steamy and real. I ship Jin and Amani so hard!

The world building is done so extremely well that you will be able to feel the sand grit in your eyes.

The best thing of all, this may be the first book in a series, but there is not a huge cliffhanger.

What more could you want in a book? Seriously. Go read this book right this very second. You won't regret it. This is going to be one of my most favorite books of 2016. I have already started pushing it on everyone I know.
