Bout of Books Read-A-Thon: Sign-Up, Goals & Updates

It's that time of year again... Bout of Books starts in a few short weeks! I did just finish reading 10 books in 10 days for the #ReadingDecathlon challenge hosted by Epic Reads, but apparently I can't get enough reading challenges... so here we go again. I plan on reading some of the ARCs I got at BEA/BookCon, but really I just want to make time to read a few books and write a LOT of reviews for the blog during this week-long challenge.

The Bout of Books read-a-thon is organized by Amanda @ On a Book Bender and Kelly @ Reading the Paranormal. It is a week long read-a-thon that begins 12:01am Monday, August 22nd and runs through Sunday, August 28th in whatever time zone you are in. Bout of Books is low-pressure. There are challenges, giveaways, and a grand prize, but all of these are completely optional. For all Bout of Books 17 information and updates, be sure to visit the Bout of Books blog. - From the Bout of Books team

Final Thoughts

So I didn't get done as much reading as I had hoped, but I did finish a book and start a new one. I also got a lot of reviews written this week so that was nice. Overall I could have read more, but I am happy with what I did. I did just read 10 books in 10 days last week.

  1. I haven't heard of any of these but I have been out of the loop for a while. Metaltown looks really cool from the cover and The Reader of course, I'm very curious about. Good luck!

  2. You did need a break! 10 in 10 was a big accomplishment. But as exciting as it may be, it's a hard pace too keep up!
