I Feel Like Gabbing Today

**I have no idea how often I will post this feature or when exactly I'm going to post it. This is a work in progress. I do however know that I want to share with you the very random thoughts that pop into my head. Many are bookish thoughts and many are not. I feel like I don't have enough discussion type posts on the blog so I am giving this a whirl. Today I will feature a list of my randomness.

1. I just finished writing a three star review and it was painful. Very painful. I have the WORST time trying to think of things to say about a book that I just liked but didn't love or hate. Please tell me I am not the only person with this problem.

2. Right now I am three books ahead of my goodreads reading challenge and I am flying high! It feels so good. I am on a reading frenzy. I couldn't be happier.

3. So far this year I am keeping up with my reviews. I really hope I stay on top of things at least for another few months.

4. As my friend's wedding grows nearer I become busier and busier. My calendar for the month of March and April is filling up fast.

5. My husband and I just celebrated the fact that it has been 8 years since we first started dating! That is a long time folks, but I guess time flies when you are having fun. :)

6. I am trying so hard to have more of a presence on Twitter and I think I am doing pretty good so far, but I still want to be better.

7. I am trying so hard to be healthier this year, but trying to find motivation to work out when it is freezing here is hard work. I just want to snuggle under a blanket and read. Heck, even getting ready to go into work when the weather is bad is a challenge. I have noticed that I am a whole lot more active when it is nicer out, especially since I love going on long walks with my husband when the weather is nice. I am counting down the days until spring begins!

8. I LOVE my part-time job at the library, but I wonder if one day I will ever actually get a full-time grown-up job. For right now I am going to continue to love it and be thankful for my job and use the free time I have to write more. My real goal: to be published by the time I am 30.

9. I am trying to figure out a new monthly feature for my blog about book covers, but I have yet to really pin down exactly what I want to do with this idea. All I know is I love book covers. I love talking about them. I love fangirling over them. I love reading posts about them. Therefore, I have no idea why I don't do some kind of cover post on my blog every month.

I Feel Like Gabbing Today

THIS POST WAS INSPIRED BY BOOKISH (AND NOT SO BOOKISH THOUGHTS) @BOOKISHLY BOISTEROUS
AND THOUGHTS FOR THURSDAY @THE QUIET CONCERT.

**I have no idea how often I will have this post or when exactly I'm going to post it. This is a work in progress. I do however know that I want to share my very random thoughts that pop into my head with you. Many are bookish thoughts and many are not. Sometimes these posts will be one topic and sometimes just a list of random ideas, who knows. This week it is a list. I feel like I don't have enough discussion type posts on the blog so I am giving this a whirl.

1. Every time I try to relax and just do nothing I last about 20 minutes. I just feel like I always need to be productive. I do this to myself, I know, but I would love a day just to relax and do nothing and not feel guilty about it.

2. I'm loving this season of The Walking Dead. It may make me cringe sometimes, but I still love it. Talk about a show that really makes you stop and think.

3. I feel like I can never be on top of things when it comes to Twitter, or blogging for that matter.

4. I convinced my husband to take me to see Big Hero Six today. It was super cute, heartwarming, sad, and I loved every second of it.

5. I am always worried I have messed something up at work. I don't know why. I just am paranoid about it I guess. I don't want to fail.

6. Modern Family makes me laugh every single time I watch it.

7. I am addicted to iced coffees and iced lattes, and now that it is colder out even though I generally drink hot coffee, I can't seem to let up on the iced drinks.

8. I just downsized my to-read shelf on goodreads by 100. Now I only have 266 books on my to-read shelf. Sadly I still have 233 on my maybe-to-read shelf.

9. No matter how many to-do lists I make I never seem to be that organized. Nothing ever seems to get done.

10. I have a love/hate relationship with NaNoWriMo.

11. I'm re-reading the first two Mara Dyer books before I read the last one that was just released. I am not sure why but I feel like it is cheating to count the re-reads for the goodreads challenge, and then I saw that someone said goodreads doesn't count re-reads anyway. It is kind of weird... I feel like it should be your choice.

I Feel Like Gabbing Today

THIS POST WAS INSPIRED BY BOOKISH (AND NOT SO BOOKISH THOUGHTS) @ BOOKISHLY BOISTEROUS
AND THOUGHTS FOR THURSDAY @ THE QUIET CONCERT.

I have no idea how often I will have this post or when exactly I'm going to post it.

1. I may love books and reading is without a doubt my first and foremost favorite hobby, but I also love movies and tv shows. For some reason, I have honestly no idea why, I avoid writing a lot of posts about my other hobbies. I just always feel like I can only write about books on here, but this is my blog so really I can talk about whatever I want.

2. NaNoWriMo begins super soon, like super super soon (tomorrow), and I am not ready. I have a basic idea of what I want to write about but that is it. The worst part, I never even finished editing the book I wrote last year. Therefore, sometimes I'm pretty sure I shouldn't even do NaNoWriMo thisyear. I mean what's the point? BUT I am going to participate anyway so I guess I don't care that much.

3.Confession: I am just like almost every one else this time of year, I love all things pumpkin. I'm not ashamed. I even tried the iced pumpkin mocha at Dunkin. I don't regret it.

4. I love binge watching tv shows. The catch, I very rarely ever finish a show I begin watching. I get bored. I do however sometimes end up finishing the show eventually when I feel like it at a much later date.

5. Now I'm going to share with you my most deepest darkest secret... sometimes I'm just not in the mood to read. It doesn't happen often but it has known to occur from time to time. I hate when it happens. Usually my husband forces me (don't worry he does so in a nice way) to sit down to read, and I always end up thanking him profusely.

6. There is some crazy blogger/author stuff going on right now (I'm sure you have heard about it on Twitter). I like to stay out of all drama, but I will say that I never in any circumstance think stalking is okay.

7. They encourage us to dress up for Halloween at work (the library). Last year I was Annabeth from the Percy Jackson series. Today I am going to be a minion!

8. I don't understand turning any and all costumes into slutty costumes. This list of sexy Halloween costumes that shouldn't be sexy sums up my thoughts on the topic perfectly.

That's it for this round of It's a Book Life's Gab Session. I actually really enjoyed gabbing with you and I think I will be making this a weekly thing. We shall see. Join in on the Gab Session below. I would love to hear your random bookish and not bookish thoughts!
