Library Loot #3

Library Loot is a weekly event co-hosted by Claire from The Captive Reader and Marg from The Adventures of an Intrepid Reader that encourages bloggers to share the books they’ve checked out from the library. If you’d like to participate, just write up your post-feel free to steal the button-and link it using the Mr. Linky any time during the week. And of course check out what other participants are getting from their libraries.

My Library Loot

Outlander by: Diana Gabaldon

I was in the mood for a good romance novel and after a little research on the internet this is what I came up with. It is an older book, published in 1991, but it sounds intriguing.

Wolf Hall by: Hilary Mantel

I have heard only good things about this book. I usually enjoy novels that take place in the 1500s so I am going to give it a chance.

Monument 14 by: Emmy Laybourne

I always love the young adult survival books, who doesn't love the apocalypse? I am however a little nervous about this book because I prefer young adult novels where the kids are at least 17 years old because they usually are less annoying. Although, I am not sure exactly how old the kids are in this novel and I do really enjoy the Percy Jackson series so I'm going to take a deep breath and dive in.

Dark Lover by: J.R. Ward

I am always interested in new vampire books. I know this series has been around for a while but I never got into it. Therefore, I have finally decided to try it out and hope that I don't get too addicted.

  1. I know a lot of people love the Outlander series. That and the Black Dagger Brotherhood I know are addictive. I started the BDB but haven't had time to continue. Enjoy!

    1. Good to know. :) I just started reading Outlander and so far so good, but with the holidays I haven't gotten too far into it yet.

  2. Outlander was called CrossStitch when I read it - probably in 1991! I loved it then although I found the later books became too drawnout and didn't continue the series.
Wolf Hall takes some reading but is a fantastic book.
    Enjoy your loot!

    1. Thanks! I am really looking forward to reading Wolf Hall. I read a lot of young adult novels and I wanted a small break.

  3. Outlander!!! I love this series. The later books, as Cat notes, are a bit more drawn out but they are even more rich in history and I think I love them better than the earlier ones. Plus there is something very wonderful about having a more-than-middle-aged heroine. Enjoy your loot!

    1. Your post makes me want to go pick up the book and keep on reading. I don't really need to get hooked on another series, but if they are as good as you and everyone says it will be totally worth it.
