It's My Birthday and I Can Read If I Want To!

Today I turn 25, and I will probably have a quarter-life crisis at some point today, but we shall see.

I don't have the funds to host a giveaway as of right now, but I plan to once I hit 100 followers and when I have my one year blogoversary in June, so stay posted and hang in there for some awesomeness coming your way my lovely followers.

To celebrate my birthday I get to go to work today and tomorrow! Exciting right? Luckily for me I have a wonderful husband who is taking me to see The Host tonight and is taking me to a nice dinner tomorrow. I'm pretty darn lucky to have such a wonderful husband if I do say so myself. Then next weekend I get to hang out will all my wonderful friends. Hopefully there will be some reading in there as well. :)

I want to share with you the wonderful books I got as birthday gifts! I'm super excited and I can't wait to crack them open. Without further ado...

Books I received for my birthday!

Are you a little surprised I didn't own this book already? I borrowed Divergent form the library every time I felt like reading it and I was sad that I never owned my own copy, but now I do! I want to do a re-read of this right NOW, but I don't have the time. Instead I will be re-reading the first two books in September before the third one comes out in October.

Yup, you guessed it! I got the second book for my birthday as well, thanks to my awesome parents. They really do know how to make me love them more. ;)

I FINALLY have a copy of The Storyteller by Jodi Picoult. As you probably now from one of my Waiting on Wednesday posts, I've been dying to read this!

My sometimes annoying but right now awesome little brother pre-ordered Taken for me! I can't wait to get my hands on it. I will be checking the mail hourly when its release day hits.

I love Edgar Alan Poe and when my husband presented me with this awesome present, I may have drooled a little. I'm so excited. I think every week I'll read a poem or short story or both from this book! I love the cover as well.

My husband also got me Grimm's Complete Fairy Tales! Also a pretty awesome cover. A great addition to all of my books.

Other bookish items I received...

    1. Oh, and you must let us know what you think of The Host! I was very meh about the book, but the movie actually looks really good.

And I hope work wasn't too bad -- working on your birthday sucks :/

  4. Yay! Happy (somewhat belated) birthday Kay! Sounds like you've got some wonderful bookish birthday loot. I'm really interested to hear what you thought about The Host, however, as I haven't read the book yet I really have nothing to compare it to.

I'm not too far behind you (birthday-wise) and have to work on mine as well. Eh, it happens. At least you had a nice weekend in which to celebrate! :)
