This article on reading books to shelter dogs will make you smile and make you want to read to your pet. To put it simply, it is just really cool.

I was a huge Berenstain Bears fan when I was younger and I learned so many good lesson from those books. Therefore If All Adults Reread 'The Berenstain Bears,' The World Would Be A Much Better Place is an article you don't want to miss. It makes me want to reread the books, and keep in mind that whenever I have children these books will be on their shelves.

Out of the 14 paperbacks that are reenacting their own plots Dracula, The Hobbit, and The War of the Worlds were my favorites. What are your favorites?

At only 13 years old this girl has collected over a million books to give to those in need. Wow, she is awesome.

After thinking about it for a long time J.K. Rowling says that she thinks Harry and Hermione should have ended up together. What?!?! It's all in the past so why bring this up now and make the fans go just a little crazy?

Blog Post

Inspiring Insomnia wrote a very fun and interesting post about her new desk calendar. Okay, I just realized that doesn't sound very fun, but it is because it is a calendar for book lovers and she created a great system to find new books to add to her TBR pile by using the calendar. I want one of these calendars now. No joke.

Hilarious. True.

What do you think of the first 50 Shades of Grey poster? I think it's actually pretty good, I like the approach they ended up taking. (one where people have clothes on)

I know you have probably already watched it, but I had to share the first trailer for The Fault In Our Stars. What do you think? I may or may not have gotten teary eyed.

  1. That trailer gets me every time. From what I see, they did such a good job. I also like the 50 Shades of Grey poster but I haven't read the books. I don't know if I want to hah.

That 13-yo girl is amazing. I feel motivated to go read to my dog, Maximus. And WHAT is JK Rowling thinking. I am happy with the ending. I don't need what-ifs.

And that buzzfeed article with the paperbacks is amazing! Love the Dracula one.

Great great articles this week! Woo

    1. I'm going to need to bring so much tissue to the theaters when I see The Fault in Our Stars! Oh and as for fifty, I wouldn't bother reading it. lol The first book is the worst, I think the second and third are better. I can say without a doubt that I won't be seeing Fifty in theaters, but in the privacy of my own home where I won't blush constantly. (Okay, still blush a little but not in front of people.)

That 13-year-old girl is so awesome. I feel like I have accomplished nothing compared to her. Oh and I am now officially always going to be reading to my dog.

  3. I think the whole Harry Potter thing is just so silly -- the future relationships are such a small part of the story, I don't know the point of making a big deal about it now. I always loved Ron, so I don't see any issue of them ending up together!

And awww I <3 the Berenstein Bears too!

    1. I couldn't agree with you more about the HP thing. I still love the books, what could have been doesn't matter and the romance is such a small part of the story. I'm happy with whatever as long as they all lived and enjoyed life after everything they went through.

  4. I always feel weird when authors come out and say stuff that wasn't apparent when reading the book. Like when JKR came out and said that Dumbledore was gay - I didn't feel like that added anything to the story and was more just to cause some controversy. Same now with the Ron/Hermione thing. I don't think it really matters what her intentions were initially although I just.. don't really see how they weren't meant to be together. Maybe this is the thirteen year old girl I was when I first read the first three books but I always pictured them together.

I like the 50 Shades poster. I wasn't a huge fan of the books but I know I'll see the film just because I don't want to be left behind. I think the poster is fairly classy and conveys just how I pictured him.

    1. I agree with you...I don't even know the point of her sharing this information about HP so far after they have been out. I liked how it originally ended just fine.

That is the word I was looking for to describe the 50 shades poster...classy! Thanks!
