Gilmore girls is now on Netflix! I've been binge watching since the day it was put on there (last Wednesday) with breaks for work of course. I'm sure you have all heard about the Rory Gilmore Reading Challenge. The creator of this challenge picked his top sevenbooks in honor of the Netflix release.
If you ever think you are having a horrible day take a second to remember these literary characters that probably had a worse day than you.
Do you think you are the biggest Harry Potter fan? Think again. This guy broke a world record.
Everyone should read this list of 22 mind-boggling facts about banned books in America.
A bookstore in Japan is offering people to spend the night! How cool would that be?
Stephen King's book 11/22/63 (which I really do hope to read sometime) is going to be on Hulu.

Banded Books Week is here! If you are a graphic novel reader then you should read this list of banned graphic novels. Everyone should also check out this beautiful compilation of quotes from banned books.

Fall is here my friends and I am pumped. Need some fall reading suggestions? Here are 30 cool books for fall to check out and this list of fall's most anticipated young adult novels.

If you want to see the most adorable book ever then I suggest you read this right now.

The fiction longlist for the National Book Award has been announced.

It's been too long since I've shared some fun Harry Potter tidbit with you all. This week you shall feast your eyes on 13 college dining halls that look like Hogwarts. They are pretty unbelievably awesome.

For all you Hunger Games fans out there, you really should see the six stages of reading Mockingjay by Elizabeth Banks.

I am a fan of ya retellings and luckily for me and other retelling fans Epic Reads made an epic list of ya retellings.

I'm sure you know of Cartoon Network, you probably even watched it when you were younger, well Penguin is launching a Cartoon Network Imprint.

Summer flew by and I am already starting to see Christmas tress pop up in the stores. Sigh. I don't believe in starting Christmas anything until after Thanksgiving. A lot of my friends think I'm crazy. Anyway, this story is going somewhere. HarperCollins announced holiday express shipping for indie retail accounts.

Sometimes I spend more time surfing Netflix for a movie to watch than I do actually watching anything. Luckily Book Riot his here to help! YA Themed Movies: List One - List Two
10 Signs Books Are Your Boyfriend - I may have a problem.

Guess what? AMaze Runner sequel is already in production before the first movie is even in theaters. I do plan on seeing The Maze Runner.

A cookbook you can eat sounds like a fantastic idea to me. Not to mention that one of Atwood's novels is going to be locked up for a century before anyone can read it.

Barnes and Noble is testing out the idea of having espresso book machines in their stores. "According to a company spokesperson, customers will be able to make a physical print book of a hard-to-find book, a public domain title or self publish a book."

Goodreads now has a preview this book option for US members. I really don't preview books so this doesn't affect me.

Breaking News: There is going to be another Lunar Chronicles book featuring Levana out in January!

 For all of you that live in Illinois the day has been set. July 12 will be Chicago's Independent Bookstore Day! I've always wanted to visit all of these bookstores and since Chicago isn't far from me now may be the perfect time.

The Great Book Format Debate may be a little longer of an article, but I promise it is worth your time and will give you some laughs.

Just because I love Sherlock. I had to share this one with you.

Eric Hall, the author of the adorable Spot children's books, has passed away. May he rest in peace and never be forgotten.

I think I am going to do this exercise here on the blog. I plan on sharing my bookshelves with you in more detail soon anyway. I love getting the break down of other blogger's bookcases so I figured it was time I share mine.

Epic Reads has some of the best and most creative posts featuring young adult books on their website. The Periodic Table of Epic Reads doesn't disappoint.

Read this for a depressing laugh.

Amazon is still trying to take over the world and this time James Patterson has a few choice words to say on the topic.

Maya Angelou has died. "I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel."

Reading Rainbow rocked it on Kickstarter. I loved Reading Rainbow growing up... so many good memories. Is bringing it back as awesome as I thought it was going to be? Read the two articles to get the two different opinions on the topic. I still believe in Reading Rainbow.

 Parajunkee has two awesome posts that you must read. All women should read this post and all social media users should read this post.

If you are a book lover, which I'm sure you are because you are reading my blog, then you must read all about the new call for giving trigger warnings to students before they read books or watch movies for a class at the college level. I agree with Christine, the author of this post, on this one.

The Quiet Concert has a new feature up on the blog that you don't want to miss. If you wan't to know what it is then you must head over there yourself to read it.

Apparently just about every book is being made into a movie or television show lately, as I'm sure you have noticed simply by reading these bookish news posts. This time J.K. Rowling's Casual Vacancy is being made into a television mini series. 

The third Throne of Glass book by Maas, Heir of Fire, has had its cover revealed! YES!

I am sure all my followers know by now that I am a big Downton Abbey fan. Well, I have another lovely article that gives some great young adult historical fiction reading suggestions for Downton Abbey fans.

 The Princess Diaries series is coming back...for adults! This series was my favorite when I was younger. This news made my whole day.

 This is a must read: The 23 Things We Think Upon Entering a Bookstore.

 Even though I'm sure you all have heard, if you haven't then you should take a second to get updated about wanting more diversity in young adult books. Here are two interesting blog posts about the subject: Bookcon's Lack of Representation & Thoughts on Diversity in YA

 You really should check out Buckling Bookshelves' new unique feature, Required Re-Reading where she re-reads books she had to read for class. This week she talked about how she didn't appreciate The Joy Luck Club the first time, but really enjoyed it the second time.

 Have you ever had trouble organizing your TBR pile on goodreads? I know I have. Nicole over at The Quiet Concert shares her organization tips. It may give you some helpful ideas for your own list. It did for me.

 It's not okay to steal, ever. If you want some free and/or cheap books, read this post.

*Spoilers are in this article.* Allegiant is apparently going to be split into two movies. I really really don't think that is necessary, actually I think it's a pretty dumb idea.

I'm a fan of tote bags and wish I could own them all. If you are a fan as well then you should check out these bookish tote bags.

If you love to take online quizzes as much as I do then you will enjoy taking How Scandalous Is Your Reading History? I have only read 27 of the banned books on this quiz. I need to work on that.
