This week's Five on Friday featuring recently added books to my TBR pile has a very interesting mix of various genres. I hope you find something new to add to your own pile. Plus, I am loving these covers. I know I can't wait to get my hands on these beauties.
1. Your Own Worst Enemy by Gordon Jack
I think this book is going to make me laugh. "If this were an ordinary high school election, the winner would be whichever candidate was the most popular. But this year, each candidate may have to sink to a new low to win an election that could change the course of...very little."
2. That's Not What Happened by Kody Keplinger
This one sounds like it is going to be a heartbreaking and very suspenseful novel. "I don't know what will be worse: the guilt of staying silent or the consequences of speaking up . . ."
3. If Only by Jennifer Gilmore
If Only sounds real and strong. "A beautiful and thought-provoking non-linear literary novel about a pregnant teen and a teen searching for her birth mother."
4. Kiss of the Royal by Lindsey Duga
I love a good fantasy/romance novel. This one sounds like it will give me all the feels! "Falling for each other wasn’t part of the plan—but try convincing their hearts of that."
5. I'll be Gone in the Dark
I have recently started listening to the My Favorite Murder podcast and I can't seem to get enough true crime. This book has gotten a lot of praise and I have to read a nonfiction book for my grad school class this summer so I figured I would give it a try.
I am really curious about I'll Be Gone in the Dark...and the podcast!
ReplyDeleteThe podcast is my new favorite thing and I can't wait to give I'll Be Gone in the Dark a try.
DeletePsst. I think if you go into widgets and change code from http to https on your Book Deposit image in sidebar you will get the green bar for your site.

DeleteThat's Not What Happened is already giving me anxiety with the MC contradicting what the parents said. I'm curious to know what happens though even if I stay away from subjects like those.
ReplyDeleteMy mom's reading I'll be Gone in the Dark. Apparently there is a lot of jumping around by the author.
