With all the crazy stuff I see floating around on the internet lately I'm really starting to believe that people just have too much time on their hands. And yet, I still look at the funny photos and read the funny articles, so maybe I have too much time on my hands. Anyway, If Your Favorite Literary Icons Had Dating Profiles is one of those type of articles, but it is worth the read.

Did you know that Gone Girl's ending was rewritten for the movie! What is up with that?

The cover to the last book in The Discovery of Witches trilogy has been revealed! I'm so excited for The Book of Life! There is also an excerpt

I really didn't realize so many book to movie adaptations were happening this year, although I shouldn't really be surprised. Although book to movie adaptations don't normally end all that well, I'm really excited about some of these, like Divergent.

Do you ever forget what you read? I do. I read a lot of books and I just can't remember everything that I read. Sometimes I'll even start reading a book only to realize part way through that I have read it before. This isn't an issue as much anymore thanks to goodreads, but if this has ever happened to you I suggest you take a minute to read: Forgetting What I read: A Justification

I seriously didn't even know using hahstags in your blog post titles was a thing. Well apparently it is.

Do you ever watch documentaries? I do on occasion and was super excited that Foil The Plot came out with this helpful list of documentaries you should give a chance. I watched Blackfish...I won't be going to SeaWorld ever.

There have been a few times where I have come across a book cover with someone on it that looks like a celebrity. With that being said, you must read:  Celebrity Doppelgangers on Young Adult Covers

  1. Soooo I was convinced forever that I would not like the Game of Thrones books, BUT then I started watching the show with my husband and I am so hooked! (At the moment, we're caught up through season 2.) Which of course has made me reevaluate my original reluctance to read the books and now all I want to do is shove my TBR pile aside and read all of those massive tomes, LOL. Have you read them?

    1. I have not read the books, just watched the television show (my husband made me and I thank him) and now I can't decide if I should go back and read the books now or wait, because I don't want anything to be ruined while watching. Ahhh I can't decide!

    2. Since I usually like the books better, I don't think I will mind if I get ahead of where the TV show is, but since the books are so long, I think it will take me awhile to get to that point! I was afraid the books would be too difficult to follow, but I think now that I have the foundation of who's who from the show, I'll have a much easier time of it. Maybe sometime in the spring or summer we could read them together and post about it? You're a way faster reader than me, but it could be fun!

  2. HAH George R. R. Martin's profile "Creative, merciless, insensitive, and really into weddings". The trailer for Season 4 looks amazing. I am behind in the TV series - I need to catch up! I can't wait for the world to blow up over what is in store though.

I really want to start The Discovery of Witches series. TOO MANY BOOKS TO READ! Brittany's post about Dopplegangers is great. I always thought Rose on the cover of VA looked like Angelina Jolie. Also, can't remember where I read it right now, but someone suggested writing summaries of major plot points for books in series. That way when you pick up the next book a year or so later you can go back in your notes and remind yourself what happened. I kind of want to do this (among many other things for better organization/reading/blogging)

    1. A while ago I thought about doing that...making a list for books in a series so I could actually remember what happens when a new book comes out. I never got around to it. It just seems like it would take a lot of time and effort. There is this one website http://recaptains.blogspot.com/ that does this.

    2. Recaptains is great but unfortunately doesn't have every book I could use a recap on. I do think a summary would take time and that is why I am not sure I will actually keep up with it but i was thinking something that was just quick notes for my eye only - aka it could be gibberish and riddled with mistakes hah.

  3. I've had The Discovery of Witches series on my TBR for quite some time. I gotta say, I'm really loving those covers (although why is the 3rd cover green when the others were blue?). And I still need to watch Season 3 of Game of Thrones so I'm avoiding the new trailer at all costs.

Blackfish made me so angry and so sad at the same time. Definitely won't be going to Sea Word EVER. Thanks for including my recs, Kay!

    1. Read A Discovery Witches... just saying! I don't know why the third cover is green... but I am loving it.

Blackfish was a good documentary but like you I was so upset by it.

  4. So excited for Game of Thrones! The video makes me want to go back and re-watch it from the beginning. Such an amazing series.

I loved the first book in The Discovery of Witches series, but I'm behind. Hope this one is just as wonderful, love the cover! Thanks for sharing, Kay. :)

    1. Game of Thrones is so addicting! If you are behind in The Discovery of Witches series then you should wait till the third/last one comes out so you won't have to wait for a new book.
