My Review

It's safe for me to still say that there isn't a single Kasie West novel that I don't love. Her contemporary romance novels are the perfect thing to brighten any day. I know they always manage to put a smile on my face. 

I really liked Lily and her uniqueness and how loyal she is to her friend. She was a main character I could understand and enjoy reading about. Even her family was a hoot!

My favorite part of this book was the interesting romance. Although you can guess who her secret pen-pal is pretty early on, it is still fun watching Lily figure it out. The whole writing on the desk back and forth was just such a fun idea!

Now, let's get to the point. Do I recommend this book? I sure do! End your summer with this cute and adorable read!

My Review

Was The Rose and the Dagger as good as The Wrath and the Dawn? Not quite.

Was The Rose and the Dagger still worth reading? Most definitely.

Is Shazi still as fierce and wonderful as ever? You bet.

Do you get to spend more time with Shazi's sister and meet new characters? Of course.

Will there be magic? There will be magic.

Will there be more moments between Shazi and Khalid? YES. These two melt my heart.

Should you read this book? Heck yes.

Read this book.

Here are the short and sweet (just like the book) reasons as to why you should...

I'm just going to say it. Kasie West is a master at writing young adult contemporary romance novels. She has yet to write one that disappointed me. Not a single book. Full of laughs, swoons, friends, romance, and banter, The Fill-In Boyfriend is yet another hit from Kasie West. It was wonderful and perfectly cute. 

The characters are full of life. Gia may seem very shallow at first glance, but this didn't deter me from enjoying the book. Not only does she change and grow, but her personality only made her seem more real. I love fill-in Bradley (he was probably my favorite), his sister, and all of the other characters in this book.

This is a fun one to read. It's a story that touches on friendship, family, and romance.

The Bottom Line: The Fill-In Boyfriend was an easy read that I have no problem recommending to everyone.
