Bout of Books: Character Coupling Challenge

Character Coupling Challenge
The Challenge: Take two characters from two different books and pair them up together in any kind of relationship that you think they would have. Explain why. I did three couplings!

The Characters: Strumhond (Siege and Storm by Leigh Bardugo) &Kelsea (The Queen of the Tearling by ERika Johansen)
Their Relationship Status: Queen and King, Friends to Romantic Relationship
The Why: With Strumhond and Kelsea joining forces they would be unstoppable. They are brilliant and I'm sure Strumhond would be able to charm Kelsea and give her the love she deserves. I see them starting out as friends and becoming fierce and passionate together over the love they have of their kingdoms. They will rule all.

The Characters: Harry Potter (HP and The Sorcer's Stone by J.K. Rowling) & Percy Jackson (TheLightningThief by Rick Riordan)
Their Relationship Status: BFF
The Why: I would love if these two were friends for life and there was a book a bout it. I think Harry's seriousness and Percy's fun side would make for two friends that really balance each other out. Also, it doesn't hurt that they both have had to fight off many a bad guy and could relate in that way. Think of them fighting off the baddies together?!

The Characters: Gale (The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins) & Vicky (A Mad, Wicked Folly by Sharon Briggs Waller)
Their Relationship Status: Freedom Fighters and Long Time Couple
The Why: Gale needs a strong woman by his side and I think Vicky would fight with him in their search of freedom. It's not that I think Vicky needs a man, she doesn't, I just think these two would really work well together.

  2. Great choices! Harry and Percy as BFF just makes sense, why is this not a thing? I'm glad you found someone for Gale. I'm not much of a fan of his, but I like that you paired him with someone who sounds strong. And Sturmhond!!!!!! I really need to read The Queen of the Tearling and find out more about this girl you paired him with! Thanks so much for participating today!

I'm interested in finding out who Vicky is by reading her book since you think she would be great for Gale.

    1. I am not surprised by your very reasonable reaction to my Strumhond couple pairing. Please forgive me. I still think you would be the best choice for him, but you are not from a book.

    2. hahahah best answer ever. Naturally, I forgot that I was not from a book - I am attached to them so often - but I can now see why you had to go with second best. I forgive you, of course ;)
