Library Loot is a weekly event co-hosted by Claire from The Captive Reader and Marg from The Adventures of an Intrepid Reader that encourages bloggers to share the books they’ve checked out from the library. If you’d like to participate, just write up your post-feel free to steal the button-and link it using the Mr. Linky any time during the week. And of course check out what other participants are getting from their libraries.
I'ts official. I love going to the library a little too much. On top of the three books I still have to read from my last trip I have added 6 to my pile! This doesn't even include other random books I still need to read. Oh well, I thought I would do better after my last trip, but I guess I didn't. There is always next time. ;)

I read Anne Frank so long ago, that would be a great one to pick up again! Good luck finding time to read all of these :)
ReplyDeleteI still have 100 pages in a library book I'm absolutely loving even though I started it a week and a half ago -- as it turns out, the whole process of moving doesn't leave me with much reading time!
Anne Frank is on my TBR pile challenge and I really need to read a book for that challenge. I'm not even sure I ever read it. If I did it was forever ago.
DeleteThanks, I need all the luck I can get.
I hope the moving is going well! Did you have a lot of boxes just for books? ;)
You're welcome :)
DeleteYES, I have a LOT of book boxes since I'm a big reader and I love cookbooks (those have their own boxes!). There's been so much work just getting ready to move, but tomorrow is supposed to be the big day. (!!)
My husband correctly stated "If we didn't have all these books, we wouldn't have anything to move" -- I tried to point out that we have a lot of kitchen/cooking stuff too, but that argument didn't really work, lol.
I always go to the library even when I have too many books to read already. I have a hard time resisting new books. Enjoy your loot!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I just love going. Sometimes I browse and find some interesting stuff and sometimes I go in with list in hand. :)
DeleteIt's nice to see a classic made it on to your list, Kay! The Diary of Anne Frank (though I haven't yet read it) is supposed to be sublime!
ReplyDeleteYou'll have to let me know how Throne of Glass is as I have it pretty high on my TBR list.
I will do just that. I'm hoping to read it right after I finish Requiem!
DeleteYou sound like me! I love the library and I always get way too many books whenever I go, even if I still have a huge stack at home. Looks like you got a lot of good books. The Handbook for Lightning Strike Survivors caught my eye and now I want to look it up. Throne of Glass is on my TBR as well. Happy Reading =)
ReplyDeleteI don't even know how I came across The Handbook for Lightning Strive Survivors. It was on my goodreads TBR pile and it sounded for interesting so I was happy that they had it at the library. I will have to let you know how that is plus Throne of Glass which I plan to be reading very soon.
DeleteI totally know how you feel. I'll have 12898735books at home to read, and then I'll go buy or borrow some more. I wouldn't necessarily call it problem, though. ^_^ (Easing off my Net Galley addiction, slowly .... very slowly....)This just reminded me, I'm yet to read Throne of Glass! Something is seriously wrong with me.

Hahaha You're totally right, we don't have problems we are just really awesome because we have all the books. :) Net Galley can also be very addicting. I try to make sure I only request a couple and then I force myself to read some before I request more.
DeleteOh, I hope you enjoy Throne of Glass! I'm not typically a fan of high fantasy, but I really enjoyed that one.
ReplyDeleteGood to know! I'm a little nervous about it, but I plan to read it soon.
