I'm Waiting On...
The Testing by: Joelle Charbonneau
Goodreads Summary: Keep your friends close and your enemies closer. Isn’t that what they say? But how close is too close when they may be one in the same?
The Seven Stages War left much of the planet a charred wasteland. The future belongs to the next generation’s chosen few who must rebuild it. But to enter this elite group, candidates must first pass The Testing—their one chance at a college education and a rewarding career.
Cia Vale is honored to be chosen as a Testing candidate; eager to prove her worthiness as a University student and future leader of the United Commonwealth. But on the eve of her departure, her father’s advice hints at a darker side to her upcoming studies--trust no one.
But surely she can trust Tomas, her handsome childhood friend who offers an alliance? Tomas, who seems to care more about her with the passing of every grueling (and deadly) day of the Testing. To survive, Cia must choose: love without truth or life without trust.

ReplyDeleteOur WoW is at Book Sake. –Jessica
As soon as I saw a book trailer for this one a few weeks ago I was sold.
DeleteThis sounds so mysterious and thrilling. I'm so curious as to what Cia will pick! I can't even think which one is better! Great pick! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThanks for dropping by my WoW! :)
Nina @ The Bookish Confections
Thanks for stopping by my blog as well!
DeleteI have a feeling this one is going to be all over the blogs - did you pick it up from NetGalley?
ReplyDeleteYes I did. :) I won't have time to read it for a couple more weeks.
DeleteThis is so weird, but I was walking back to my office from lunch and I was trying to remember what book I got from Netgalley as a weird file and I couldn't think of it for the life of me. Then I saw your comment on my blog, clicked on your WoW post, and there's the book. So strange. But I'm excited to read this, great pick! And thanks for visiting my blog and helping my terrible memory :)
ReplyDeleteI'm glad I could help. ;) Thanks for stopping by!
DeleteThis one sounds pretty great, I'm really hoping it doesn't disappoint!!

Bonnie @ Sweet Tidbits
I am SO mad at myself for not downloading this when I got the 2 day email! I didn't really read the summary close enough and figured I already had too much to read as it was. But now everyone is loving it and I missed out. :( So I am ALSO waiting on this one!
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my WOW and following my blog! New GFC follower!
Jessica@Lovin' Los Libros
I downloaded it but I have a lot of other time sensitive books I must read first. :( Thanks for following!
DeleteI've downloaded it from netgalley and read into it a bit, and I like it so far! I've got other books via request though, plus this one couldn't be sent to kindle and I dislike reading large files on the computer. But I think the idea of a test determining whether or not you can have an education is largely unexplored in dystopians, so I'm intrigued :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my post earlier!
Glad you are enjoying it so far. I can't wait to see if it lives up to the high expectations I have given it!
DeleteIt seems intriguing! Thanks for stopping by Love.Life.Read today.
ReplyDeleteHappy Reading!
I've been hearing that this book is AMAZING, so I must therefore read it! Thanks for sharing and stopping by!
