This week's topic is sequels! Here are the top ten eight sequels that I can't wait to get my hands on. Sadly most of them aren't going to be out for a while. Share below what sequels you are waiting on!
1. The Book of Life (All Souls Trilogy #3) by: Deborah Harkness
(July 15, 2014)
I am a big fan of A Discovery of Witches and it was just recently announced that the third book will be coming out next July and that it has a title! I can't wait to get back to Matthew and Diana's journey.
2. Untitled (Throne of Glass #3) by: Sarah J. Maas
There is no title and no release date but I still can't wait to get my hands on this sucker! I want more!
3. The Blood of Olympus (The Heroes of Olympus #5) by: Rick Riordan
(Oct. 7, 2014)
I can never get enough of Percy Jackson and his adventures!
4. Independent Study (The Testing #2) by: Joelle Charbonneau
(Jan. 7, 2014)
I really enjoyed The Testing and I feel like the sequel will be even better.
5. The Retribution of Mara Dyer (Mara Dyer #3) by: Michelle Hodkin
(June 10, 2014)
This book was originally supposed to come out this year but it got pushed back for some reason making me even more impatient to get my hands on it.
6. Split Second (Pivot Point #2) by: Kasie West
(Feb. 11, 2014)
When I found out there was a sequel to Pivot Point I couldn't have been happier.
7. Going Rogue (Also Known As #2) by: Robin Benway
(Jan. 14, 2014)
The first book was so much fun I hope this one gives me just as many laughs.
8. The Unbound (The Archived #2) by: Victoria Schwab
(Jan. 28, 2014)
I didn't love the first one as much as I had hoped but I still loved it.
I forgot to add Going Rogue to my list! Also Known As was a lot of fun. I am going to start the Mara Dyer series soon. I have a student who keeps begging me to read it. I think it's time. I couldn't even put Blood of Olympus on my list because it pains me to have to wait an ENTIRE YEAR...gah! Here are my picks http://wp.me/pzUn5-1Jm
ReplyDeleteWaiting an entire year for more Percy Jackson is killing me!
DeleteI have Going Rogue on my list, too. I agree, the first one was so funny I really hope the second lives up to it!
ReplyDeleteI hope so too! After reading the synopsis I think it's going to be good. :)
DeleteGreat list! I still haven't started any of the series yet but they're all on my ginormous tbr list :)
ReplyDeleteCome see my TTT post :)

I haven't most of the series you mention, though a couple I've been waiting for them all to publish so I could read them at once. I am intereste to see how All Souls ends. I loved Discovery of Witches but didn't enjoy the sequel as much. Hopefully the ending is good!
ReplyDeleteI'm with you, I loved A Discovery of Witches but Shadow of Night, although I still really liked it, wasn't as good. I think this last book will be awesome.
DeleteSplit Second and Going Rogue made my list also!

Your list just reminded me of so many sequels I want to read! The Testing especially!
ReplyDeleteI think the sequel to The Testing is going to be even more interesting than the first book! At least I hope so!
DeleteSplit Second ahhhhh! I was waiting for the third book to come out before reading the Mara Dyer series, but with the new release date, I'm not sure I can hold off.

I think it may be an awesome idea to wait to read the Mara Dyer series just because of how the last book ended! lol
DeleteSplit Second is on my list too and YES to Going Rogue! So glad Robin decided to make it a series, I loved the first one a lot! :) I was so disappointed when the last Mara Dyer book got pushed back. Had a major sad. Thanks for stopping by my TTT!
ReplyDeleteSplit Second is going to be amazing!!! I need to finish book 2 of the All Souls trilogy before the third comes out.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe how long it's been since I've commented... Great picks! I think I'm going to hold off on Discovery of Witches until right before the last book comes out so I can read them straight through. And I am SUPER impatient for the last Mara Dyer book -- I got so excited as the "old" pub date was nearing and then I went to order it and realized it got bumped :( Would be nice to remember what happened in the last book by the time the next one comes out!
ReplyDeleteHey Christine! Good to hear from you.
DeleteAt this point I would totally support you waiting to read A Discovery of Witches. :)
Why did the Mara Dyer book get pushed back? Do you know? I was heart broken.

DeleteI have no idea, but I was very disappointed. :( I'm sure I can find plenty else to read in the next few months, but was really looking forward to that one!

Haven't started the series for 1 or 3 yet but to all the others YES YES YES!! :D More books to talk about together
ReplyDeleteDid I ever tell you how much I love you for getting me to read Pivot Point??!? lol
DeleteWow, that sounded a little creepy. my bad.
DeletePivot Point was great! I can't wait for the sequel. I liked Throne of Glass too and I heard the sequel is even better. Great list!
