I am so loving this week's theme - everyone's posts are so unique! My TTT
ReplyDeleteMe too! This week was so much fun! :D
DeleteGreat idea for a list! I love animals in my books and am especially happy when one of the characters has a pet. I really can't think of many that actually have animals - which is totally a shame. I've not actually read any of these books yet. I do want to read The Scorpio Races and Shadow and Bone - and The Princess Diaries. I can't believe I'd forgotten about Fat Louie. Definitely moving that book up to the top of my list to get ahold of now.

Thanks Amy! I had way too much fun putting this list together. I really wish there were more YA books with pets in them. :( I hope you enjoy Princess Diaries. They are cute and funny books.
DeleteThe Hero and the Crown by Robin McKinley -- the real hero is the horse.
ReplyDeleteI will have to look into that! Thanks for sharing! :D
DeleteSuch an innovative topic! My fave's from your list are The Last Dragonslayer and The Scorpio Races! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Lola. Those books are amazing and a big thanks to the animals!
DeleteGreat picks! I like your topic and I'm so happy you included the water horses from The Scorpio Races!
ReplyDeleteCheck out my TTT and my Read This? Watch This! Tag.
Thanks Lauren! I had fun with this topic. Too bad there aren't more books with animals that I could think of.
DeleteI agree with all these choices and would add in the Harry Potter series since there are so many mythical and amazing creatures in that one!
ReplyDeleteAlex @ The Book's Buzz
Harry Potter would be a great addition to this list! :D How did I not add it?
DeleteI love your choice here! Super unique. I've actually only read one book here (Shadow and Bone) but I got The Scorpio Races the other day! I've heard great things about it, so Im looking forward to it.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much! I think you will like The Scorpio Races. I can't wait to see what you think!
DeleteI just loved this post! Such a cool idea and you chose some really good creatures! :D
ReplyDeleteThanks! It was a lot of fun to write and a little challenging.

That squirrel POV made me laugh quite a bit when I was reading A Little Something Different. I want my very own Wyvern!!! An Abraxos all of my own!
ReplyDeleteRight?!?! One of the best parts of the whole book. I need all the creatures!
DeleteAH this is such a good class topic! it made me think of "Care of Magical Creatures" in Harry Potter ;) Ashley and I were not this creative and kind of gave up hah.
ReplyDeleteOMG YES! If only these classes were real.
DeleteAlso.... it took me forever to think of a class topic. So don't feel bad. I probably spent more time than I should have.
