Here are my choices for this week's topic of: Top Ten Eight Books when you need something fun and light! I realized that I don't read a lot of these type of books, but when I do need something that will make me laugh these are a sure bet.
From the list above here are the ones that I have reviewed on my blog:
Side Note: Just about any of Meg Cabot's books are a great choice for a fun and light read!
What are your reading suggestions for those looking for a fun and light read?

I didn't participate this week, but if I had, I definitely would have included Janet Evanovich -- her books are practically the definition of light & fun!
ReplyDeleteEvanovich and Cabot were the two authors that immediately popped into my head for light and fun reads!
DeleteYes! I have Princess Diaries on my list AND any book by Meg Cabot. She has such a range of books that they can fit almost any mood of mine. I was just thinking about picking up more fairytale books and I have never seen Rapunzel Untangled and I will definitely be checking it out now!
ReplyDeleteAny book by Meg Cabot always puts a smile on my face! Rapunzel Untangled is a good one! Thanks for stopping by. :)
DeleteI should have added Percy Jackson to my list--I only had 8 as well. But I've only read the first one. However, I own all but the last one, so I need to get to them, and I know they'll be fun reads! The Stephanie Plum books made my list, too. Great list!
ReplyDeleteI really loved the Percy Jackson series, especially the new one. They are just great adventures.
DeleteLike you, I had trouble coming up with light and fun reads because they're not usually my cup of tea. I just skipped it this week, but I love your list! The Boy Recession looks like a fun read! And I LOVE Meg Cabot. I also read The Princess Diaries and I was a big fan of her Mediator series! And I read quite a few Nora Roberts books in high school, but not that one. I'll have to check it out. Great list, Kay!
ReplyDeleteThe Boy Recession is a really funny read. Yay! Another Meg Cabot fan! There is just something about her writing that I love and always find to be the perfect quick read.
DeleteThe lightening thief was a fun one,

DeleteYey for Meg Cabbot! She's such an amazing author!
ReplyDeleteI haven't read The Lightening Thief yet but I've seen it in so many lists today, I think I should hurry up and read it once and for all.
Thanks for stopping by my TTT :)
Kar @ Pause Time
You should tip your toes in the wonderful world that is Percy Jackson. :)
DeleteLove Meg Cabot's Princess Diaries. I forgot to add that to my list :(
ReplyDeleteAlly @ My Heart Hearts Books
After reading a good amount of other people's lists today I realized I left off a few good ones as well. Thanks for stopping by!
DeleteI love R.L. Mathewson's Neighbor From Hell series. I noticed you are reading Taken. I am interested to hear your thoughts.
ReplyDeleteI don't find many other R.L. Methewson fans! Have you read any of her other books? I've also read her Pyte(vampire) series and if you like vampires it is really good. Taken so far is pretty good but kind of predictable. Hopefully I'll get to finish it today.
DeleteGreat list! I really want to read The Boy Recession!
ReplyDeleteIt is so funny!
DeleteGreat list, I love the Percy Jackson series as well.
ReplyDeleteGah this reminds me that I need to get The Boy Recession and Rapunzel Untangled ASAP *heads over to library website*
ReplyDeleteI would add most of Sophie Kinsella's books as well :) they are all lighthearted and have me giggling throughout :)
