Teaser Tuesdays #2

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) "teaser" sentences from somewhere on that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS!
  • Make sure to share the title and the author too!

My Teasers

"Morelli looked like he'd had heartburn. If he had Briggs downtown, locked in a little room, he'd have run over him like a four-ton dump truck." (pg. 185)

"I got your granny, and I'm turning her over to the police if you don't get her out of my sight in the next ten minutes," the caller said." (pg. 62)

~ Notorious Nineteen by: Janet Evanovich

So far this Stephanie Plum novel is hilarious as always. I wouldn't call it my favorite, but it is still pretty good.

  1. I've only read the first two, but my aunt keeps telling me to read the rest of them -- I did enjoy the ones I read and they are really funny, but there are just too many other books to read! Maybe when I'm in the mood for something light I will get back to them.

    1. I understand. I read them because they still make me laugh and eventually I would like Stephanie to end up with one of the guys. On the other hand, it is starting to get a little repetitive, it never really bothered me until this one.

  4. Sounds like a good book. I may just add it to my wish list.

  5. Haha, nice teasers! This series by Janet Evanovich is a lot of fun, although I've only read the Valentine's Day spin-off called Plum Lovin. :)

    1. It's a pretty awesome series for the most part. :) Totally worth reading. The first couple aren't my favorite, but they are still good. Thanks for stopping by!

  7. I love Janet Evanovich! Though I haven't actually read any of the Plum series (except for one random Xmas themed one haha). I'm a sucker for her stand-alone screw-ball romances.

    2. Be warned those stand-alone romances are truly odd-balls -- I read one and it was so not for me. If you think the Stephanie Plum books are silly and fun, Evanovich's other books take ridiculous-ness to a whole other level!

  15. I have yet to read any of her books, I'm so behind! I'm also worried about getting addicted and having to read through 100 more of her books before I can pick up anything else lol.

Thanks for stopping by Book Cover Justice!
