Top Bookish News of The Past Week

Here are all the interesting bookish stories, pictures, videos, and blog posts I found this past week.
All of the titles are linked up to their respective articles/blog posts. Click away!

The Archived #2
1. The Unbound (The Archived #2) by: Victoria Schwab That's right! It has only been like a month and a half since the first book came out and we already get to see the cover of the second Archived book and get the synopsis! The cover is inciting.  The little synopsis sounds thrilling, although I am sad to say there is no mention of Wesley or her moving up from becoming a keeper, but we can hope! Thanks Michael at The Bookshelf Review for reminding me that this was being announced this week!

2. 2013 BEA Author Breakfast Announced If only I could be able to eat breakfast with these amazing authors including Rick Riordan and Diana Gabaldon!

3. E.L. James Reveals Details of New book  Although I'm not a huge fan of this series and the first book was hard for me to get through, I enjoyed the second two and I will have to say they were a guilty pleasure. But alas, James says her next books won't be nearly as steamy and she has no new updates on the film. So really this is not really that news worthy, but fans of Fifty Shades may want to know about it. I'm not sure I would read any of her books in the future, although I am intrigued how they are going to make the movie.

4. Daren Kagskoff to play Alex in Delirium TV Show I have never seen this kid act. I don't watch the The Secret Life, but he is pretty cute. Either way I wouldn't miss this show for the world. We will have to wait and see how it all plays out. Thanks Christine at Buckling Bookshelves for showing me this!

1. Pay to Browse? Over at Bookshelvers Anonymous is a very interesting post about the literary world thinking about charging people just to browse at a book store!? Crazy right?

2. Movie Review: Safe Haven I only discovered this blog like a week ago but I really do enjoy reading their posts. I am a big Nicholas Sparks fan and I have yet to see this new movie. A fun and interesting review. Does anyone else plan on seeing it or have seen it already? What did you think?

3. Lady of Ashes by Christine Trent + Giveaway A female undertaker in 1861?! I'm sold. Plus there is a chance to win a copy of the book so you may as well check out this post.

1. Out of Print I found this website on pinterest. I fell in love. Who doesn't want book themed tote bags and t-shirts and more?

Outsiders shirt you can buy from Out of Print

1. Book Blogger Twitter Con 2013 This Twitter Con is happening April 1 - April 7. Voting is now open so go vote for your favorite book blogs! This sounds like a fun and interesting idea and I can't wait to participate in this first ever Book Blogger Twitter Con. Are you going to participate?

  1. I had a feeling we would both end up sharing that Pay to Browse? post! I just couldn't resist, it's just such a ridiculous idea...

I haven't seen Safe Haven yet, but Nicholas Sparks movies are a definite guilty pleasure of mine. I haven't read too many of his books, but I always get around to watching the movies eventually. I tried for a Valentine's Day movie date with the hubby, but that was a no-go!

Lady of Ashes sounds intriguing, I'll have to check that one out. I sense a GoodReads "Add to Bookshelf" click coming on...

LOVE the Out of Print online shop -- it is definitely bookmarked for future browsing & shopping!

And I most definitely just voted for Real Men Read YA as best noob blog for Book Blogger Twitter Con -- thanks for pointing me in the right direction :)

    1. Oh & thanks for the shout out! I knew you were patiently waiting to find out who they cast as Alex, so I just had to share :) Can't wait to see this show, I hope they don't butcher the books!

    2. A very ridiculous idea indeed. I would be very upset if I had to pay to browse books.

Nicholas Sparks movies are a guilty pleasure of mine too. I really enjoyed the last one, The Lucky One. I can't wait to see Safe Haven although I will have to wait until it comes out on DVD.

I am going to vote for his blog too!

And you are welcome. :)Thanks again!

  2. Glad you enjoyed my review of Safe Haven! :)

  3. I promise a LOT of Wesley Ayers in The Unbound.

    1. Thank you for commenting on my blog! I did a slight happy dance. :) I really enjoyed The Archived and I can't wait for The Unbound. Now I can't wait even more. A lot of Wesley Ayers?! I'm sold.

  4. Oh, shoot. That Out of Print website is going to get a LOT of my money. Shirt One: The Great Gatsby.
